IND vs SL: These 3 great players of Team India including Virat will not play even on Sri Lanka tour


 A big news related to Team India is coming out. Actually, after the Zimbabwe tour, 3 veteran players of Team India can be rested on the Sri Lanka tour as well. After the T20 World Cup, the senior players of Team India were rested, and a new and young team has been sent on the Zimbabwe tour.

But according to a report by Indian Express, 3 veteran players of Team India, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah can be rested on the upcoming Sri Lanka tour. In such a situation, KL Rahul can replace Rohit Sharma in ODIs, and Hardik Pandya can captain in T20 Internationals.

Team India's Sri Lanka tour will start from 27 July and will run till 7 August. On this tour, Team India will play 3 T20 International matches apart from the 3 ODI series. Team India will also get a new coach before this tour. Currently Team India is in Zimbabwe under the coaching of VVS Laxman.

BCCI wants seniors to get rest

BCCI wants these senior players to be given some more rest before the domestic season. The domestic season is starting from 19 September when the Bangladesh team will tour India for two Test matches and 3 T20 Internationals. Rohit and Virat have already retired from T20 International cricket, while Jasprit Bumrah had said that this is just his beginning.  The selection committee will meet next week to select the team for the Sri Lanka tour.

e Indian Express, a BCCI source said, 'Senior players can rest and prepare for the upcoming domestic cricket season. Rohit, Virat and Bumrah have been offered rest and they will join the team for the Test matches against Bangladesh in September.'

BCCI will also invite applications for support staff

Not only this, BUT BCCI will also invite applications for the support staff of Team India. Let us tell you that along with Rahul Dravid, the tenure of batting coach Vikram Rathore, fielding coach T Dilip and bowling coach Paras Mhambrey has also ended after the T20 World Cup. The Cricket Advisory Committee has already interviewed Gautam Gambhir and WV Raman for the head coach of Team India, only the official announcement is pending. Earlier, Jay Shah had said that the new coach will join Team India on the Sri Lanka tour. There is also news that BCCI has given Gautam Gambhir a free hand to choose the support staff of his choice.
